3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO AN ANNUAL CONTRACT WITH LEVY CONCRETE, IN AN
5 APPROXIMATE AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED THIRTY THOUSAND
6 DOLLARS ($130,000.00), FOR THE PURCHASE OF READY MIX
7 CONCRETE FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT; AND FOR
8 OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, advertised a formal bid to solicit proposals for an
II annual contract for Ready Mix Concrete for the City,and the only bid received was from Levy Concrete.
12 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
13 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
14 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Levy Concrete as primary
15 vendor in an approximate amount of One Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($130,000.00) per year for
16 contract purchases of Ready Mix Concrete for the Public Works Department.
17 Section 2: This contract shall be for one year from the date of the award,with the provision that it may
18 be extended yearly for two(2)additional years upon agreement of both parties.
19 Section 3. Funds for this agreement are available in Accounts, No. 326409-73106-TS40A08
20 (Sidewalk Program from Sales Tax) and No. 204003-61020 (Streets, Alleys, and Bridges) and other City
21 Department Accounts.
22 Section 4. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid
23 or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this
24 resolution, which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or
25 unconstitutional were not originally a part of this resolution.
26 Section 5. Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions,and parts thereof, which are in conflict with any
27 provision of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
