3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH BURKHALTER TECHNOLOGIES, INC., IN
5 AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED THIRTY-EIGHT
6 THOUSAND,NINE HUNDRED SEVENTY-THREE AND 40/100 DOLLARS
7 ($238,973.40), FOR THE BELLEMEADE DRIVE RECONSTRUCTION
8 PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, Bids were solicited for Bellemeade Drive Street and Drainage Reconstruction, from 30th
11 to Street 32nd Street,Project No. 06-15-ST-259,Bid No.627; and,
12 WHEREAS, Burkhalter Technologies, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
13 specifications.
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Burkhalter
17 Technologies,Inc.,for Bellemeade Drive Reconstruction, in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Thirty-
18 Eight Thousand, Nine Hundred Seventy-Three and 40/100 Dollars ($238,973.40), which is the base bid
19 amount of One Hundred Ninety-Nine Thousand, One Hundred Forty-Four and 50/100 Dollars
20 ($199,144.50),plus 20%contingencies
21 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the'/Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating
22 Use Tax Funds and the Capital Improvement Bonds as authorized by Resolution No. 14,803.
23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
24 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
27 resolution.
28 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances,resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
29 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
