3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH D&J RED IRON AND AGGREGATES, LTD.,
5 IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FIFTY-ONE THOUSAND, TWO
6 HUNDRED FORTY-THREE AND 85/100 DOLLARS ($51,243.85), FOR
7 THE 22ND STREET DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT; AND FOR
8 OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, Bids were solicited for Drainage Improvements on 221d Street, west of Perry Street,
11 Project No.06-16-DR-234,Bid No.No. 664; and,
12 WHEREAS,D&J Red Iron and Aggregates, Ltd., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
13 specifications.
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with D&J Red Iron and
17 Aggregates, Ltd., for 22nd Street Drainage Improvements, in an amount not to exceed Fifty-One Thousand,
18 Two Hundred Forty-Three and 85/100 Dollars ($51,243.85), which is the base bid amount of Forty-Two
19 Thousand, Seven Hundred Three and 21/100 Dollars($42,703.21),plus 20%contingencies.
20 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the%-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating
21 Use Tax Funds and the Capital Improvement Bonds as authorized by Resolution No. 14,803.
22 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
23 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
24 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
25 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
26 resolution.
27 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with
28 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
