HomeMy WebLinkAbout15082 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,082 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH DRAGER SAFETY, INC., FOR THE TOTAL 5 AMOUNT OF EIGHTY-SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS($87,000.00),FOR 6 THE PURCHASE OF A MOBILE SCBA MAZE TRAINING GALLERY 7 FOR THE LITTLE ROCK FIRE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER 8 PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, it is critical that the Little Rock Fire Department be equipped and trained with reliable 11 forms of Search and Rescue,Confined Space and Entry-Level Fire Training; and, 12 WHEREAS,the Little Rock Fire Department is in need of a Mobile SCBA Maze Training Gallery to 13 better train and equip the Little Rock Firefighters;and, 14 WHEREAS,the specifications for this purchase were written and approved by the members serving 15 on the Little Rock Fire Department SCBA Committee; and, 16 WHEREAS, bids were taken for the Mobile SCBA Maze Training Gallery and Drager Safety, Inc., 17 was the low bidder with a bid of Eighty-Seven Thousand Dollars ($87,000.00), plus applicable taxes and 18 fees;and, 19 WHEREAS,staff recommends that a contract be awarded to Drager Safety, Inc., for a Mobile SCBA 20 Maze Training Gallery. 21 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 22 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 23 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Drager Safety, Inc., for the 24 purchase of a Mobile SCBA Maze Training Gallery for the amount of Eighty-Seven Thousand Dollars 25 ($87,000.00)plus applicable taxes and fees. 26 Section 2. Funding for this purchase is available from the Act 833 Account No. 210519-S0013250. 27 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 28 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 31 resolution. 32 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with 33 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
