3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH RIVERCITY HYDRAULICS, INC., FOR AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO MILLION, ONE HUNDRED
6 SEVENTY-TWO THOUSAND, SEVEN HUNDRED TWENTY DOLLARS
7 ($2,172,720.00), FOR THE PURCHASE OF EIGHT (8) FREIGHTLINER
8 MODEL M2-106 REFUSE TRUCKS FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS
9 DEPARTMENT SOLID WASTE DIVISION; AND FOR OTHER
10 PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS,the City's Public Works Department Solid Waste Division has demonstrated a need for
13 eight(8)Freightliner Model M2-106 Refuse Trucks to replace an aged,high maintenance unit currently in
14 the City's fleet; and,
15 WHEREAS,Vendor selection was made through the utilization of Sourcewell,Contract No.081716-
16 NAF;and,
17 WHEREAS,the total cost for the purchase of eight(8)Freightliner Model M2-106 Refuse Trucks is
18 Two Million,One Hundred Seventy-Two Thousand, Seven Hundred Twenty Dollars($2,172,720.00).
19 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
21 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Rivercity Hydraulics,Inc.,
22 in an amount not to exceed Two Million, One Hundred Seventy-Two Thousand, Seven Hundred Twenty
23 Dollars($2,172,720.00),for the purchase of eight(8)Freightliner Model M2-106 Refuse Trucks to be used
24 by the Public Works Department Solid Waste Division.
25 Section 2. Funds for this agreement are available in Public Works Department Account No.603110-
26 72300.
27 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
28 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
31 resolution.
32 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
33 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
