3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH FTN ASSOCIATES, LTD., IN AN AMOUNT
5 NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED TWELVE THOUSAND DOLLARS
6 ($212,000.00), TO PROVIDE ENGINEERINGING SERVICES FOR THE
7 CONSTRUCTION OF CELL 5 WEST OF THE LITTLE ROCK
8 LANDFILL; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, it is desirable and a regulatory requirement to provide Construction Quality Assurance
I I Engineering Services for construction of Cell 5 West of the Little Rock Class I Landfill; and,
12 WHEREAS, FTN Associates, Ltd., was selected through a Statement of Qualifications process, Bid
13 No. 18179,to provide these engineering services.
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with FTN Associates, Ltd.,
17 to provide Engineering Construction Quality Assurance Services for the construction of new Cell 5 West
18 of the Class 1 Landfill in amount not to exceed Two Hundred Twelve Thousand Dollars($212,000.00).
19 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the Solid Waste Enterprise Fund, Special Project Activity
20 No. S40A561.
21 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
22 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
23 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
24 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
25 resolution.
26 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
27 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
