HomeMy WebLinkAbout15044 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,044 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE 4 A CONTRACT WITH ENTERPRISE FLEET MANAGEMENT TRUST 5 FOR AN ANNUAL PURCHASE ORDER IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO 6 EXCEED TWO MILLION, NINETY-EIGHT THOUSAND ($2,098,000.00), 7 PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, TO LEASE UP TO EIGHTY- 8 FOUR (84) VEHICLES; TO UTILIZE THE FIVE (5)-YEAR 9 REPLACEMENT PLAN FOR THE LITTLE ROCK POLICE 10 DEPARTMENT AND VARIOUS OTHER CITY DEPARTMENTS; AND 11 FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 12 13 WHEREAS, it is critical that the Little Rock Police Department ("LRPD") and other various 14 Departments within the City of Little Rock,Arkansas("City Departments")be equipped with reliable forms 15 of vehicular transportation;and, 16 WHEREAS, Fleet Services met with LRPD and various other City Departments to initiate or revise 17 their respective Replacement Plans;and, 18 WHEREAS, Fleet and LRPD have revised Year 3 of the Five(5)-Year Replacement Plan for LRPD; 19 and, 20 WHEREAS, Fleet Services recommends executing a Five(5)-Year Lease Plan utilizing Source-Well 21 Purchasing Agreement(formally NJPA)for the purchase of up to eighty-four(84)vehicles from Enterprise 22 Fleet Management Trust; and, 23 WHEREAS, the annual cost for the lease will be Four Hundred Nineteen Thousand, Six Hundred 24 Dollars ($419,600.00) plus a minimal fee assessment for immediate processing, for a total lease term 25 amount not to exceed Two Million,Ninety-Eight Thousand Dollars($2,098,000.00); and, 26 WHEREAS,at the end of the lease,the City will own the vehicles. 27 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 28 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 29 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a one(1)-year contract dated in 2019 with not 30 more than four(4),one(1)-year renewal extensions,(extension year I dated in 2020,extension year 2 dated 31 in 2021,extension year 3 dated in 2022 and the final extension year 4 dated in 2023),with Enterprise Fleet 32 Management Trust to lease eighty-four (84) vehicles; the contract shall also include an option to replace 33 vehicles wrecked or damaged during the five(5)-year lease term. !Page I of2l 1 Section 2. The funding for the leased vehicles is available in the Fleet Special Project Account No. 2 210759-72300-S00B399. 3 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 4 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 5 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 6 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 7 resolution. 8 Section 4. Repealer.
