RESOLUTION NO. 12,028
3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH ALTEC INDUSTRIES FOR THE
5 PURCHASE OF ONE (1) 37 -FOOT HYDRAULIC TELESCOPIC
6 AERIAL TRUCK FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT; AND
7 FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
9 WHEREAS, the Public Works Department is in need of one (1) 37 -foot
10 hydraulic telescopic aerial truck, and
11 WHEREAS, this truck will replace an aerial truck which was wrecked, and
12 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock received bids under Bid #5269 for the
13 purchase of the aerial truck, and the lowest responsible and responsive bid meeting
14 minimum specifications was received from ALTEC Industries in the amount of
15 Seventy -three Thousand, Seven Hundred Twenty -nine and no /100 Dollars ($73,729.00).
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
17 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter
19 into a contract for the purchase of one (1) 37 -foot hydraulic telescopic aerial truck from
20 ALTEC Industries, for the amount of Seventy -three Thousand, Seven Hundred Twenty -
21 nine and no /100 Dollars ($73,729.00).
22 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from the 2005 Public
23 Works Replacement Short Term Financing Fund.
24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
25 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
26 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining

1 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
2 declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
3 resolution.
4 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that
5 are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent
6 of such inconsistency.
