3 A RESOLUTION TO AMEND LITTLE ROCK, ARK., NO. 14,667
4 (NOVEMBER 21, 2017) TO APPROVE AN INCREASE IN THE
5 CONSTRUCTION COST WITH JHL BUILDERS, LLC, IN AN AMOUNT
6 OF NINETEEN THOUSAND, SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS ($19,600.00), TO
7 CHANGE THE EXTERIOR SIDING FOR PROPERTIES LOCATED AT
8 4709 AND 4711 CHARLES BUSSEY BOULEVARD; AND FOR OTHER
9 PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS,on September 17,2017,the City issued Bid No. 17180 to procure contractors to develop
12 four (4) single-family new constructions utilizing HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME)
13 Funds; and,
14 WHEREAS,in Little Rock,Ark.,Resolution No. 14,667(November 21,2017)the Board of Directors
15 authorized the construction of two (2) residential properties chosen for construction as part of the HOME
16 Program by JHL Builders,LLC:
17 Lot 2 Block 1 Hyde Park Subdivision—Ward 1 -$138,500.00—New Construction
18 Lot 3 Block 1 Hyde Park Subdivision—Ward 1 -$138,500.00—New Construction

19 WHEREAS,the current listed sales price for each house is One Hundred Thirty-Five Thousand Dollars
20 ($135,000.00); and,
21 WHEREAS, the properties are located at 4709 and 4711 Charles Bussey Boulevard and will be sold
22 to an eligible low-to-moderate income buyer; and,
23 WHEREAS, the properties are being developed with HOME Funds and the structures are
24 approximately 1,480 square-feet, heated and cooled, with three (3) bedrooms, two (2) bathrooms, a great
25 room, dining area,kitchen, laundry area and a two(2)car garage;and,
26 WHEREAS,the proposed increase to the Construction Contract cost is to change the exterior siding
27 in an amount of Nine Thousand,Eight Hundred Dollars($9,800.00)per house for a total cost not to exceed
28 Nineteen Thousand, Six Hundred Dollars($19,600.00); and,
29 WHEREAS,funding is allocated in the HOME Fund Account No. G56815.
30 NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
31 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
32 Section 1. Little Rock, Ark.,Resolution No. 14,667 (November 21, 2017) is amended to increase the
33 construction cost of each structure located at 4709 and 4711 Charles Bussey Boulevard by Nine Thousand,

1 Eight Hundred Dollars($9,800.00)for a total construction cost increase not to exceed Nineteen Thousand,
2 Six Hundred Dollars($19,600.00).
3 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
4 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
5 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
6 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
7 resolution.
8 Section 3. Repealer. All resolutions, bylaws, and other matters inconsistent with this resolution are
9 hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency including, but not limited to, Little Rock, Ark.,
10 Resolution No. 14,667 (November 21,2017).
