Home My WebLink About15002 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,002 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD A 4 CONTRACT TO JCI CONSTRUCTION, INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO 5 EXCEED ONE MILLION, TWO HUNDRED TWENTY-ONE THOUSAND, 6 TWO HUNDRED SEVENTY-ONE AND 50/100 DOLLARS ($1,221,271.50), 7 FOR WEST BASELINE ROAD IMPROVEMENTS AND FOR OTHER 8 PURPOSES 9 10 WHEREAS, Bids were solicited for Street and Drainage Improvements to West Baseline Road from 11 Stagecoach Road to Wimbledon Loop,Project No. 16-7-ST-239,Bid Event No. 469; and, 12 WHEREAS,JCI Construction,Inc.,was the lowest responsive,responsible bid meeting specifications. 13 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 14 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 15 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with JCI Construction,Inc., 16 for West Baseline Road Improvements in an amount not to exceed One Million, Two Hundred Twenty- 17 One Thousand, Two Hundred Seventy-One and 50/100 Dollars ($1,221,271.50), which is the base bid 18 amount of One Million, Seventeen Thousand, Seven Hundred Twenty-Six and 25/100 Dollars 19 ($1,017,726.25),plus 20%contingencies. 20 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the%-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating 21 Use Tax and the 2018 Capital Improvement Bonds for Streets and Drainage as authorized by Resolution 22 14,803. 23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 24 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 27 resolution. 28 Section 4.
