RESOLUTION NO. 12,016
3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH JONES HARLEY- DAVIDSON FOR THE
5 PURCHASE OF THREE (3) POLICE PURSUIT MOTORCYCLES FOR
6 THE POLICE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Police Department is in need of three (3) police
9 pursuit motorcycles, and
10 WHEREAS, these motorcycles will replace older, high mileage units currently
11 being operated by the Police Department, and
12 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock received bids under Bid #5263 for the
13 purchase of the motorcycles, and the lowest responsible and responsive bid meeting
14 minimum specifications was received from Jones Harley- Davidson in the amount of
15 Fifty -one Thousand, One Hundred Eighty Dollars ($51,180.00).
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
17 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter
19 into a contract for the purchase of three (3) police pursuit motorcycles from Jones
20 Harley- Davidson, for the amount of Fifty -one Thousand, One Hundred Eighty Dollars
21 ($51,180.00).
22 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from the 2005 Short -Term
23 Financing Account.
24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
25 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
26 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining

I portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
2 declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
3 resolution.
4 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that
5 are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent
6 of such inconsistency.
