3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH MUSCO SPORTS LIGHTING, LLC, IN
5 AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED THIRTY-SIX
6 THOUSAND DOLLARS ($136,000.00) AND AN AGREEMENT WITH
7 PILGREEN ELECTRIC IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FORTY-
8 FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($45,000.00) TO PROVIDE SPORTS FIELD
9 LIGHTING FOR ONE (1) SOCCER FIELD AT OTTER CREEK PARK;
10 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS,there is a high demand for lighted sports fields in the City in order to extend the use of
13 recreation facilities into the nighttime; and,
14 WHEREAS, an old lighting system for Field No. 1 at the Otter Creek Park Soccer Fields is needed;
15 and,
16 WHEREAS, funds are available from the 3/8-Cent Sales and Compensating Use Tax to purchase
17 replacement lighting for this filed; and,
18 WHEREAS,the total cost of this project of One Hundred Eighty-One Thousand Dollars($181,000.00)
19 can be accomplished through the use of the TIPS/TAPS Interlocal Purchasing System.
20 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 1'HE CITY
21 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
22 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to execute an agreement with Musco Sports Lighting in an
23 amount not to exceed One Hundred Thirty-Six Thousand Dollars ($136,000.00), and an agreement with
24 Pilgreen Electric in an amount not to exceed Forty-Five Thousand Dollars ($45,000.00), for the work
25 required to use new LED technology to replace the lighting system at Soccer Field No. 1 in Otter Creek
26 Park.
27 Section 2. Funds for this project are available in Account No.TS45A17 from the 3/8-Cent Sales and
28 Compensating Use Tax.
29 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
30 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
31 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
32 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
33 resolution.

1 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
2 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
