HomeMy WebLinkAbout14975 • 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,975 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH JCON, INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO 5 EXCEED ONE HUNDRED THIRTY-FIVE THOUSAND, FIFTY-FIVE 6 DOLLARS ($135,055.00), FOR CONSTRUCTION SERVICES FOR THE 7 BIKE POLO COURT AT MACARTHUR PARK; AND FOR OTHER 8 PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, the City has sales tax proceeds which will be used in part to fund improvements to 11 MacArthur Park,and one of the proposed improvements is a Bicycle Polo Court; and, 12 WHEREAS,after a formal competitive bidding process pursuant to Request for Proposal No. 246, it 13 was determined that JCON, Inc., submitted the lowest responsible and responsive bid of the four(4) bids 14 received;and, 15 WHEREAS,at a total cost of One Hundred Thirty-Five Thousand,Fifty-Five Dollars($135,055.00), 16 this agreement can be executed and completed. 17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 19 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with JCON, Inc., in an amount 20 not to exceed One Hundred Thirty-Five Thousand,Fifty-Five Dollars($135,055.00)for the construction of 21 a Bicycle Polo Court at MacArthur Park as a part of the improvements to MacArthur Park. 22 Section 2. Funds for this agreement are available in the MacArthur Park Sales Tax Account No. 23 326459-TS45A105. 24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and. 27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 28 resolution. 29 Section 4. Repealer.
