HomeMy WebLinkAbout19323ORDINANCE NO. 19,323 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE MEUWLY ADDITION ANNEXATION, ADDING CERTAIN LANDS TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. WHEREAS, a petition for voluntary annexation (the "Petition ") was filed in January 2005 with the County Clerk of Pulaski County, Arkansas by the owner of hereinafter designated lands praying that said lands be annexed to and made part of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; and, WHEREAS, on March 10, 2005, the County Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas found that the Petition was signed by a majority of the total number of the real property owners of the area to be annexed and by the owners of more than one -half of the acreage of said area; and, WHEREAS, said lands are contiguous to and adjoining the present corporate limits of the City of Little Rock; and, WHEREAS, an accurate map of said lands has been filed with and made a part of said Petition; and, WHEREAS, proper notice has been given for the time and in the manner prescribed by law; and, WHEREAS, all things pertaining thereto have been done in the manner prescribed by law and that said lands should be annexed to and made part of the City of Little Rock. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. The following described territory contiguous and adjoining the City of Little Rock, Arkansas be and the same hereby is accepted as annexed to and made a part of the City of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, to wit: ANNEXATION OF MEUWLY ADDITION Part of the West '/2 of the SE '/4 of the NE '/4 of Section 15, T -2 -N, R -14- W, Pulaski County, Arkansas, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the Northwest corner of the SE' /4 of the NE 1/4 of Section 15 and being marked by a 5/8" rebar; thence South 87 °50'25" East along the North line of the SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4a distance of 666.02 feet to a 1" pinch top pipe; thence South 02'05'12" West a distance of 1,284.31 feet to a 100 Penny Nail on the North right -of -way line of Arkansas State Highway 10; thence along said North right -of -way line for the following 4 courses 1) N84'1 1'58"W a distance 36.13 feet to an AHTD right -of -way monument; thence 2) N85 °54'51 "W a distance 168.64 feet to an AHTD right -of -way monument; thence 3) N84 °1 3'08 "W a distance of 349.79 feet to an AHTD right -of -way monument; thence 4) N76 °36'44 "W a distance 113.21 feet to a 5/8" rebar on the West line of the SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4; thence NO2 °01'26 "E along said West line a distance of 1,232.21 feet to the Point of Beginning and containing 19.33 acres more or less. All adjacent right -of -ways are included, specifically including the right -of- way of State Highway 10. SECTION 2. Repealer. All laws, ordinances and regulations and parts thereof in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency. SECTION 3. Severability. In the event any portion of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration and adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the ordinance, which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally apart of this ordinance.
