3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH G & W DIESEL IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT
5 OF SIX HUNDRED FORTY-EIGHT THOUSAND, SIX HUNDRED
6 SEVENTEEN DOLLARS($648,617.00),FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE(1)
7 PIERCE VELOCITY PUMPER TRUCK FOR THE LITTLE ROCK FIRE
8 DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS,the Little Rock Fire Department has a need to purchase a Pierce Velocity Pumper Truck
11 to replace an aged,high maintenance vehicle currently in the City's Fleet; and,
12 WHEREAS,vendor selection for the Pierce Velocity Pumper Truck meeting the specifications needed,
the Houston Galveston Area Council (HGAC)Contract No.FS12-17.

14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with G&W Diesel for the purchase
17 of a Pierce Velocity Pumper Truck for an amount not to exceed Six Hundred Forty-Eight Thousand, Six
18 Hundred Seventeen Dollars($648,617.00).
19 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the 3/8-Cent Tax Account No. 326629-72300-
20 TS60A31, Five Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($550,000.00) and the 2019 Fleet Replacement Account
21 No. 326609-72300-TS60007,Ninety-Eight Thousand, Six Hundred Seventeen Dollars($98,617.00).
22 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
23 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
24 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
25 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
26 resolution.
27 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
28 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
