Home My WebLink About11990CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS BOARD OF DIRECTORS RESOLUTION NO. 11,990 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE LITTLE ROCK SANITARY SEWER COMMITTEE TO FILE A PETITION FOR THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK FOR THE USE AND BENEFIT OF LITTLE ROCK SANITARY SEWER COMMITTEE TO ANNEX CERTAIN LANDS IN PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS OUTSIDE THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK ON WHICH IS LOCATED THE LITTLE MAUMELLE SEWAGE PUMP STATION, A PART OF THE LITTLE ROCK SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM WHEREAS, it is necessary for certain lands described herein lying outside the City of Little Rock city limits to be annexed into the City of Little Rock, because the Little Rock Wastewater Utility Little Maumelle Pump Station is situated on said lands and has been in operation since 1989 and it is in the best interest of the sanitary sewer system operation to do so; and WHEREAS, the Little Rock Sanitary Sewer Committee adopted its Resolution No. 05 -03 requesting and authorizing said annexation on March 16, 2005, a copy of which is attached hereto marked Exhibit "A", with the legal description of said lands attached to said Resolution; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. The Little Rock Sanitary Sewer Committee is authorized to file a petition to annex said lands as described in Exhibit "A ", and said petition shall be filed in the name of the City of Little Rock for the use and benefit of the Little Rock Sanitary Sewer Committee by its duly authorized attorney. SECTION 2. All expenses for this annexation shall be paid by the Little Rock Wastewater Utility. SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption. City Attorney APPROVED: in Jim D u ley, nayor LITTLE ROCK SANITARY SEWER COMMITTEE RESOLUTION NO. 05 - 03 A RESOLUTION FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN LAND CONTIGUOUS TO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK CONSISTING OF "PROXIMATELY 1. 951 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, BEING THE SITE OF THE EXISTING LITTLE MAUMELLE PUMP STATION, REQUESTING THAT SAID LAND BE ANNEXED, AND AUTHORIZING THE LITTLE ROCK WASTEWATER UTILITY CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER TO TAKE SUCH ACTION AND EXECUTE DOCUMENTS NECESSARY FOR ANNEXATION. WHEREAS, the Little Maumelle Pump Station is part of the City of Little Rock ( "CLR"} sanitary sewer system and is operated by Little Rock Wastewater Utility ("LRWU") on certain lands owned by the CLR for the use and benefit of the Little Rock Sanitary Sewer Committee ("LRSSC4), and these lands consist of approximately 1.951 acres (84,965 sq. ft.) more or less, outside, but contiguous to, the corporate limits of the CLR, more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto ( "L /M Pump Station Property"); and WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable for the L/M Pump Station Property to be annexed to the CLR for its continued use in the operation of the CLR sanitary sewer system; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Little Rock Sanitary Sewer Committee of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, that: 1. That the L/M Pump Station Property, as described in Exhibit "All attached hereto should be annexed to the CLR for its continued use in the CLR sanitary sewer system and such annexation is hereby approved and recommended to be accomplished as soon as practical. 2. The annexation of L/M Pump Station Property is hereby further recommended to the Little Rock City Board of Directors in order for approval of the annexation and the necessary documentation, including, but not limited to, a resolution and ordinance; and a copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Little Rock City Board of Directors for the purpose of expressing the LRSSC's approval and recommendation for approval of this annexation without delay and as soon as practical. 3. That the LRWU C.E.O., Reggie A. Corbitt, is directed and authorized to take all action necessary for annexation of the L/M Pump Station Property and is further authorized to execute any documents in connection therewith for this purpose. 4. THIS RESOLUTION shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and approval, and a copy should be sent to the City of Little Rock Board of Directors.
