3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE METROCENTRE
5 IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 1 TO PROVIDE FLEET
6 MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR SERVICES; AND FOR OTHER
7 PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the Metrocentre Improvement District No. 1 does not own or
10 operate a fleet services facility and currently contracts with private automotive centers
11 for vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair, and
12 WHEREAS, the Metrocentre Improvement District No. 1 is desirous of entering
13 into a more cost effective public agency contract for the performance of fleet
14 maintenance and mechanical repair services at the City's Fleet Service facilities,
15 WHEREAS, the maintenance and repair of the Metrocentre Improvement
16 District No. 1 vehicles by the City Fleet Services Department will not negatively impact
17 its operations;
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
19 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter
21 into an agreement with the Metrocentre Improvement District 1 for the City's Fleet
22 Services Department to provide fleet maintenance and repairs services for the District's
23 vehicles and equipment.
24 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
25 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
26 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining

1 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
2 declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
3 resolution.
4 Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that
5 are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent
6 of such inconsistency.
