HomeMy WebLinkAbout119841 2 RESOLUTION NO. 11,984 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH GLOVER'S TRUCK PARTS & 5 EQUIPMENT FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE 30CY TRASHBED 6 KNUCKLE BOOM TRUCK FOR THE SOLID WASTE COLLECTION 7 UNIT OF THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER 8 PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, the Solid Waste Collection Unit of the Public Works Department is 11 in need of one 30CY trashbed knuckle boom truck, and 12 WHEREAS, the new truck will replace a 1996 model and will better meet the 13 functional needs and requirements of the City, and 14 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock received bids under Bid #5230 for the 15 purchase of the boom truck, and the lowest responsible and responsive bid meeting 16 minimum specifications was received from Glover's Truck Parts & Equipment in the 17 amount of One Hundred Twelve Thousand, Six Hundred Eight and no /100 Dollars 18 ($112,608.00). 19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 20 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 21 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter 22 into a contract for the purchase of one 30CY trashbed knuckle boom truck for the Solid 23 Waste Collection Unit of the Public Works Department from Glover's Truck Parts & 24 Equipment, for the amount of One Hundred Twelve Thousand, Six Hundred Eight and 25 no /100 Dollars ($112,608.00). 26 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from Account No. 603- 27 220 - 2110 -7060. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution. Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
