ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE TO ACCEPT THE CP &T LAWSON
ANNEXATION (A -333), TO ADD CERTAIN LANDS
TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a petition for voluntary annexation (the "Petition ") was filed
with the County Clerk of Pulaski County, Arkansas, by a majority of the owners
hereinafter designated lands praying that said lands be annexed to and made part of
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; and,
13 WHEREAS, the County Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas found that the
14 Petition was signed by a majority of the real property owners of the area (by area and
15 number) to be annexed and the annexation request met all requirements of Arkansas
16 Code 14 -40 -601 through 14 -40 -603; and,

WHEREAS, the Pulaski County Judge has signed an Annexation Order for
the site requesting annexation (filed October 1, 2018); and,
WHEREAS, an accurate map of said lands has been filed with and made a
part of said Petition; and,
WHEREAS, proper notice has been given for the time and in the manner
prescribed by law; and,
WHEREAS, all things pertaining thereto have been done in the manner
prescribed by law and that said lands should be annexed to and made part of the City
of Little Rock.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The following described territory contiguous and adjoining
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas is accepted as annexed to and made a part of the
City of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, to wit:
COPPER RUN ANNEXATION (A -333)
Described as follows:
A parcel of land being a part of the SE1 /4 of the NE1 /4 of
Section 20 and part of the SWIM of the NW1 /4 of Section
21, Township 1 North, Range 13 West in Pulaski County,
Arkansas, being more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Quarter Section Corner between
Sections 20 and 21 in Township 1 North, Range 13 West,
thence North 01 degrees 19 minutes 02 seconds East on the
Section Line between Sections 20 and 21 a distance of
338.95 feet to a point in said Line, said point being the
point of beginning; thence leaving said line North 46
degrees 34 minutes 39 seconds West a distance of 65.00 feet
to a point; thence North 37 degrees 39 minutes 08 seconds
West a distance of 191.03 feet to a point; thence North 53
degrees 29 minutes 07 seconds East a distance of 211.80 feet
to a point; thence South 38 degrees 14 minutes 57 seconds
East 135.31 feet to a point; thence South 38 degrees 03
minutes 20 seconds West a distance of 23.01 feet to a point;
thence South 47 degrees 27 minutes 42 seconds East a
distance of 172.28 feet to a point; thence South 34 degrees
41 minutes 1.8 seconds West a distance of 74.60 feet to a

point, said point being 20.4 feet from the centerline of
Lawson Road; thence South 37 degrees 53 minutes 30
seconds West a distance of 125.18 feet to a point being 23.8
feet Northwesterly from said centerline; thence North 46
degrees 34 minutes 39 seconds West a distance of 114.98
feet to the point of beginning; LESS AND EXCEPT a tract
of land being a part of the SE1 /4 of the NE1 /4 of Section
20 and part of the SWl /4 of the NW1 /4 of Section 21,
Township 1 North, Range 13 West in Pulaski County,
Arkansas, being more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Quarter Section Corner between
Sections 20 and 21 in Township 1 North, Range 13 West,
thence. North 01 degrees 19 minutes 02 seconds East on the
Section Line between Sections 20 and 21, 338.95 feet to a
point in said line; thence leaving said line North 46 degrees
34 minutes 39 seconds West a distance of 65.00 feet to a
point; thence North 37 degrees 39 minutes 08 seconds West
a distance of 191.03 feet to a point; thence North 53 degrees
29 minutes 07 seconds East a distance of 16.27 feet to a
point, said point being the point of beginning; thence South
38 degrees 29 minutes 21 seconds East, a distance of 20.75
feet to a point; thence North 51 degrees 23 minutes 40
seconds East a distance of 195.36 feet to a point; thence
North 38 degrees 14 minutes 57 seconds West. a distance of
13.61 feet to a point; thence South 53 degrees 29 minutes 07
seconds West a distance of 194.81 feet back to the point of
beginning.
29 SECTION 2. The City of Little Rock shall provide police and fire
30 protection; make available Code and other services of the City; and allow property
31 owners within the annexation to extend service lines to the Little Rock Water

1 Reclamation system and Central Arkansas Water system from the effective date of
2 the annexation.

4 SECTION 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item,
5 sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be
6 invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the
7 remaining portions of the ordinance which shall remain in full force and effect as if
8 the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a
9 part of the ordinance.

11 SECTION 5. Repealer. All ordinances or resolutions of the City in
12 conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
