HomeMy WebLinkAbout21646 1 ORDINANCE NO. 21,646 2 3 AN ORDINANCE TO DECLARE IT IMPRACTICAL AND UNFEASIBLE 4 TO BID; TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A 5 SOLE-SOURCE AGREEMENT WITH COLUMBUS, IN AN AMOUNT 6 NOT TO EXCEED FOURTEEN THOUSAND, FOUR HUNDRED 7 TWENTY-SIX DOLLARS ($14,426.00), FOR THE LITTLE ROCK ZOO'S 8 POINT-OF-SALE SOFTWARE IMPROVEMENTS AND UPGRADES; 9 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 10 WHEREAS,the Little Rock Zoo has a need to enter into a Sole-Source Contract with Columbus for 11 the Little Rock Zoo's Point-of-Sale Software Improvements and Upgrades; and, 12 WHEREAS, Columbus is the sole supplier for the Little Rock Zoo's Microsoft Retail Solutions 13 Software; and, 14 WHEREAS,the Zoo's Retail Management Solutions is being upgraded to the Microsoft Retail Hero 15 by Columbus in an amount not to exceed Fourteen Thousand, Four Hundred Twenty-Six Dollars 16 ($14,426.00),which includes applicable taxes; and, 17 WHEREAS, as part of the upgrade, the Little Rock Zoo requests that Columbus be declared a sole- 18 source vendor for all software, licenses and labor needed to complete the Point-of-Sale Upgrade Project. 19 NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 21 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a Sole-Source Contract with Columbus for 22 the Little Rock Zoo's Point-of-Sale Retail Management Solutions Software Upgrade to Microsoft Retail 23 Hero by Columbus. 24 Section 2. Funding for the Little Rock Zoo's Point-of-Sale Software Improvements and Upgrades is 25 available in Account No. 106570-61010. 26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 27 word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the ordinance which shall remain in full force and 29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 30 ordinance. 31 Section 4. Repealer.
