3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ISSUE
4 A CHANGE ORDER TO THE CONTRACT WITH ENVIRONMENTAL
5 PROTECTION ASSOCIATES (EPA) FOR MOLD ABATEMENT FROM
6 THE FIRE TRAINING BUILDING; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 4325, adopted on February 15, 2005, awarded a
9 contract to Environmental Protection Associates for mold abatement from the Fire
10 Training Building, and
11 WHEREAS, removal of additional mold and interior walls is necessary to
12 prevent the collapse of these walls due to the removal of supports as part of the mold
13 removal process.
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
15 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to issue a
17 change order in the amount of Seventy -six Thousand, Eight Hundred Eighty -two and
18 no /100 Dollars ($76,882.00) to the existing contract with Environmental Protection
19 Associates (EPA) for the removal of additional mold and interior walls of the Fire
20 Training Building.
21 Section 2. Funds for this purpose are to be allocated from the 2004 Issuance and
22 Reserve Fund and transferred to the Fire Department Improvement Fund.
23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
24 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
25 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
26 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so

declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that
are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent
of such inconsistency.
