RESOLUTION NO. 12,166
3 A RESOLUTION TO AMEND LITTLE ROCK, ARK.,
4 RESOLUTION NO. 11,827 TO EXTEND THE CONTRACT TERM
5 FROM DECEMBER 31, 2005, TO THE END OF THE CALENDAR
6 YEAR 2006; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors awarded a contract for $200,000 to Recovery
9 Centers of Arkansas on September 21, 2004, that contained a term of 1 year, from
10 October 1, 2004, to September 30, 2005; and
11 WHEREAS, after negotiations between the parties, the parties agreed to end the
12 contract at the end of the calendar year, December 31, 2005, rather than September 30,
13 2005;
14 WHEREAS, due to reorganization of primary referral source resulting to
15 insufficient number of youth served, the parties agreed to end the contract at the end of
16 the calendar year, December 31, 2006, rather than December 31, 2005; and
17 WHEREAS, this requires that the previous resolution be amended.
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
19 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. Section 3 of Little Rock, Ark. Res. No. 11,827 is hereby amended to
21 change the end of the contract term from December 31, 2005, to December 31, 2006.
22 Section 2. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or
23 adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not
24 affect the remaining portions of this resolution, which shall remain in full force and

effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not
originally a part of this resolution.
Section 3. Repealer. All resolutions, and parts thereof, which are in conflict with
any provision of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
