3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD A
4 CONTRACT TO BURKHALTER TECHNOLOGIES, INC., IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED SIXTY-TWO THOUSAND,
6 FOUR HUNDRED THIRTY-EIGHT AND 80/100 DOLLARS ($262,438.80),
7 FOR SPRING VALLEY MANOR DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS; AND
8 FOR OTHER PURPOSES

10 WHEREAS, Bids were solicited for Spring Valley Manor Drainage Improvements to replace failing
11 culvert pipes throughout the subdivision,Project No. 16-6-DR-52,Bid No. 18012; and,
12 WHEREAS, Burkhalter Technologies, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
13 specifications.
14 NOW,'THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Burkhalter
17 Technologies, Inc., for Spring Valley Manor Drainage Improvements in an amount not to exceed Two
18 Hundred Sixty-Two Thousand,Four Hundred Thirty-Eight and 80/100 Dollars($262,438.80),which is the
19 base bid amount of Two Hundred Eighteen Thousand, Six Hundred Ninety-Nine Dollars ($218,699.00),
20 plus 20%contingencies.
21 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the% Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating
22 Use Tax Funds as authorized by Resolution No. 14,310.
23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
24 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
27 resolution.
28 Section 4. Repealer.All laws, ordinances,resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
29 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
