3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGE TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH DEERE&COMPANY,IN AN AMOUNT NOT
5 TO EXCEED SECENTY-FOUR THOUSAND, TWO HUNDRED NINETY-
6 FOUR AND 56/100 DOLLARS ($74,294.56), FOR THE PURCHASE OF
7 FOUR(4), SEVENTY-TWO (72)-INCH ZERO TURN MOWERS FOR THE
8 PARKS & RECREATION DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER
9 PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS,there is a need to replace aged mowers currently being used by the Parks & Recreation
12 Department with four(4), Seventy-Two(72)-Inch Zero Turn Mowers;and,
13 WHEREAS,the total cost of the purchase is Seventy-Four Thousand,Two Hundred Ninety-Four and
14 56/100 Dollars($74,294.56); and
15 WHEREAS,vendor selection was made utilizing the National Joint Powers Alliance(NJPA)Contract
16 No. 062117-DAC;
17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Deere & Company, in an
20 amount not to exceed Seventy-Four Thousand, Two Hundred Ninety-Four and 56/100 Dollars
21 ($74,294.56), for the purchase of four (4), Seventy-Two (72)-Inch Zero Turn Mowers for the Parks &
22 Recreation Department to replace aged mowers currently in use.
23 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the 2018 5/8-Cent Sales Tax Account No. 108609-
24 72300-S60A893.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
29 resolution.
30 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
31 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
