3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND THE
4 CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED TO MR.
5 ROBERT JERRY, JR. FOR TWO VACANT LOTS LOCATED AT
6 4005 W. 25TH STREET, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the City acquired two vacant lots at 4005 W. 2511' Street in 1992; and
9 WHEREAS, Mr. Robert Jerry, Jr., purchased the vacant lots on February 10, 2005
10 from the Commissioner of State Lands; and
11 WHEREAS, Mr. Jerry has requested that the City issue a Quit Claim deed to him
12 for the remaining interest the City has in the property; and
13 WHEREAS, the City has no current use for the property in its housing
14 development program and it is reasonable to issue a quitclaim deed to Mr. Jerry to
15 allow him the full use of the property; and
16 WHEREAS, the Community Housing Advisory Board met August 15, 2005 and
17 voted in support of the issuance of a quitclaim deed to Mr. Jerry for 4005 W. 25th Street.
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
19 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a
21 quitclaim deed and any other necessary documents to convey, in a form approved by
22 the City Attorney, the City's remaining interest in the two vacant lots at 4005 W. 25th
23 Street, parcel numbers 34L- 168.00- 031.00 and 34L- 168.00- 032.00, with a property
24 description: LOTS ONE (1) AND TWO (2); BLOCK FIVE (5), R.C. BUTLER'S
25 ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS.

2 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
3 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
4 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
5 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
6 declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
7 resolution.
8 Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that
9 are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent
10 of such inconsistency.
