Home My WebLink About14682 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,682 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH AMERICAN STRUCTURE, INC., IN AN 5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-FOUR 6 THOUSAND,NINE HUNDRED NINETY-SEVEN DOLLARS ($124,997.00), 7 TO BUILD A COMMUNAL CAT ROOM AS AN ADDITION TO THE 8 LITTLE ROCK ANIMAL VILLAGE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS,over the span of four(4)years,the Little Rock Animal Services and Friends of the Animal 11 Village have raised funds to create a Communal Cat Room at the Little Rock Animal Village;and, 12 WHEREAS, the cost of this project, paid for with donated funds, will be One Hundred Twenty-Four 13 Thousand,Nine Hundred Ninety-Seven Dollars($124,997.00); and, 14 WHEREAS,this addition will provide a more comfortable area for cats waiting to be adopted,which 15 in 2016 was 937 cats, and will also permit the Little Rock Animal Village to maintain some cats prior to 16 adoption for a longer period of time; and, 17 WHEREAS,pursuant to Bid No. 17176 the City received seven(7)bids for this indoor/outdoor facility 18 and it was determined that American Structure,Inc.,was the lowest responsible and responsive bidder; 19 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 21 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with American Structure, Inc., 22 in an amount not to exceed a total cost of One Hundred Twenty-Four Thousand, Nine Hundred Ninety- 23 Seven Dollars ($124,997.00), for the construction of a Communal Cat Room at the Little Rock Animal 24 Village. 25 Section 2. Funds for this project, which will be paid from donated funds exclusively for this project, 26 are available in Account No.210359-S00B357. 27 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 28 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adju- 29 dication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect 30 as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the reso- 31 lution. 32 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with 33 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
