3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO AN ANNUAL CONTRACT WITH LEVY CONCRETE, IN THE
, 5 APPROXIMATE AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS
6 ($100,000.00), FOR THE PURCHASE OF READY-MIX CONCRETE FOR
7 THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS,the City advertised a formal bid to solicit proposals for an annual contract for Ready-Mix
10 Concrete for the Public Works Department, and the only bid received was from Levy Concrete;
11 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
12 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
13 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Levy Concrete as primary
14 vendor in an approximate amount of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) per year for contract
15 purchases of Ready-Mix Concrete for the Public Works Department.
16 Section 2: This contract shall be for oneO 1 - ear from the date of the award,with the provision that it

17 may be extended yearly for two (2)additional years upon agreement of both parties.
18 Section 3. Funds for this agreement are available in Account No.326409-73106-TS40A08(Sidewalk
19 Program from Sales Tax)and Account No. 204003-61020 (Streets,Alleys, and Bridges).
20 Section 4. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid
21 or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this
22 resolution, which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or
23 unconstitutional were not originally a part of this resolution.
24 Section 5. Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions, and parts thereof,which are in conflict with any
25 provision of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
