Home My WebLink About14650 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,650 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO AN ADDITIONAL ONE (1)-YEAR EXTENSION OF A 5 MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT TO MOTOROLA, INC., IN THE 6 AMOUNT OF SIX HUNDRED ONE THOUSAND, FOUR HUNDRED 7 THIRTY-THREE AND 83/100 DOLLARS ($601,433.83), TO PROVIDE 8 MAINTENANCE TO THE CITY'S 800 MHZ RADIO SYSTEM; AND FOR 9 PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, in Section 3 of Little Rock,Ark.,Ordinance No.20, 158 (September 15,2009)the Board 12 of Directors authorized the extension by resolution of the maintenance agreement with Motorola,Inc., for 13 its emergency communications as long as the City Manager verified that Grace Communications Company 14 of North Little Rock, Arkansas, was the only company in Central Arkansas with the trained personnel, 15 proprietary software and test equipment readily available to properly maintain the City's radio network 16 infrastructure,and is the local service provider for Motorola, Inc.; and, 17 WHEREAS, it is time to renew the Annual Maintenance Contract in an amount of Six Hundred One 18 Thousand,Four Hundred Thirty-Three and 83/100 Dollars($601,433.83); 19 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 21 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a Service Agreement in the amount of Six 22 Hundred One Thousand, Four Hundred Thirty-Three and 83/100 Dollars ($601,433.83), with Grace 23 Communications Company of North Little Rock to provide maintenance to the City's 800 mHz Radio 24 System. 25 Section 2. Funds for the specific agreement authorized by this ordinance are available in the City's 26 911 Fund,No.220511. 27 Section 5. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid 28 or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this 29 resolution, which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or 30 unconstitutional was not originally a part of this resolution. 31 Section 6. Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions,and parts thereof,which are in conflict with any 32 provision of this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict particularly including,but not 33 limited to,Little Rock,Ark., Ordinance No. 20,158 (September 15,2009).
