3 A RESOLUTION TO SET OCTOBER 2, 2017,AS THE DATE OF PUBLIC
4 HEARING ON THE REQUEST TO CONSIDER THE ISSUANCE OF PORT
5 AUTHORITY REVENUE BONDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF FINANCING
6 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS AT THE PORT OF LITTLE ROCK;AND FOR
7 OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS,the City of Little Rock,Arkansas(City)owns a municipal port and related land and facilities
10 known as the Port of Little Rock(Port),which is operated by the Little Rock Port Authority(Authority)for and
11 on behalf of the City; and
12 WHEREAS, the Authority has determined that there is a need for the acquisition, construction and
13 equipping of improvements at the Port, including particularly, without limitation, road improvements and a
14 new dock and railspur(Improvements);
15 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
16 LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. A public hearing shall be held on Tuesday,October 2,2017,at 6:00 PM before the Little Rock
18 Board of Directors in the Board Chambers on the 2nd floor of City Hall,located at 500 West Markham Street,
19 Little Rock,Arkansas,on the question to consider the issuance of up to Five Million,Five Hundred Thousand
20 Dollars ($5,500,000) in principal amount of Port Authority Revenue Bonds for the purpose of financing a
21 portion of the cost of the Improvements.
22 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title,section,paragraph,item,sentence,clause,phrase,or word
23 of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication
24 shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the
25 portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution.
26 Section 3. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with the
27 provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
