HomeMy WebLinkAbout14630 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,630 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD 4 A CONTRACT TO BURKHALTER TECHNOLOGIES, INC., IN AN 5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED NINETY-NINE 6 THOUSAND, ONE HUNDRED NINETY-EIGHT AND 80/100 DOLLARS 7 ($199,198.80), FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE DUNBAR-GIBBS 8 SIDEWALK PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES 9 10 WHEREAS, Bids were solicited for construction of the Dunbar-Gibbs Sidewalk Improvement and 11 Replacement Project,Bid No. 17-012, and, 12 WHEREAS, Burkhalter Technologies, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting 13 specifications. 14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 16 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Burkhalter 17 Technologies, Inc., for the Dunbar-Gibbs Sidewalk Project in an amount not to exceed One Hundred 18 Ninety-Nine Thousand, One Hundred Ninety-Eight and 80/100 Dollars ($199,198.80), which is the base 19 bid amount of One Hundred Sixty-Five Thousand, Nine Hundred Ninety-Nine Dollars ($165,999.00), 20 plus 20%contingencies. 21 Section 2. Funding for this project is from a Transportation Improvement Project Grant (LITTLE 22 ROCK) (TAP-15) (S) FAP NO. TAPC-9253(76), and the %-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and 23 Compensating Use Tax Funds as authorized by Resolution No. 14,310. 24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 28 resolution. 29 Section 4.
