3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH MARK MCLARTY FORD, IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE MILLION, SIX HUNDRED SIXTY-
6 FIVE THOUSAND, ONE HUNDRED TWENTY DOLLARS ($1,665,120.00),
7 FOR THE PURCHASE OF SIXTY (60) FORD INTERCEPTOR SPORTS
8 UTILITY VEHICLES FOR THE LITTLE ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT;
9 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Police Department needs to replace a number of aged and high
12 maintenance units currently in its fleet; and,
13 WHEREAS,the City can obtain an excellent price for this purchase through the 2017 Arkansas State
14 Vehicle Contract(SP-17-0050);
15 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Mark McLarty Ford,
18 pursuant to the 2017 Arkansas State Vehicle Contract(SP-17-0050)to purchase sixty(60)Ford Interceptor
19 Sports Utility Vehicles in an amount not to exceed One Million, Six Hundred Sixty-Five Thousand, One
20 Hundred Twenty Dollars($1,665,120.00).
21 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are available in the 2017 Police Short Term Note Account No.
22 325529-72300-F447002.
23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
24 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
27 resolution.
28 Section 4. Repealer. All resolutions, bylaws, and other matters inconsistent with this resolution are
29 hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
