3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
4 A SUBGRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE ARKANSAS DEPARTMENT
5 OF HUMAN SERVICES FOR THE AMERICORPS PROGRAM; AND FOR
6 OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS,the City of Little Rock has been awarded a three(3)-year grant from the Corporation for
9 National and Community Services through the Arkansas Department of Human Services in the amount of
10 Four Hundred Forty-One Thousand,Eight Hundred Eight Dollars($441,808.00),including matching funds
11 of One Hundred Sixty-Five Thousand,Two Hundred Twenty-Nine Dollars($165,229.00)for the first year
12 of the program; and,
13 WHEREAS, this grant was awarded pursuant to an application from the Housing & Neighborhood
14 Programs Department to administer an AmeriCorps Program which focuses upon implementation of Urban
15 Safety Measures and Neighborhood Revitalization;
16 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to execute a sub-grant agreement with the Arkansas
19 Department of Human Services in the amount of Four Hundred Forty-One Thousand,Eight Hundred Eight
20 Dollars ($441,808.00), including matching funds of One Hundred Sixty-Five Thousand, Two Hundred
21 Twenty-Nine Dollars ($165,229.00) for an AmeriCorps Urban Safety and Environmental Stewardship
22 Program.
23 Section 2. Funds for the match to this grant are available in the AmeriCorps Home Rehab Account
24 No. 108129-S10G102.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
29 resolution.
30 Section 4. Repealer. All resolutions, bylaws, and other matters inconsistent with this resolution are
31 hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
