3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD
4 A CONTRACT TO REDSTONE CONSTRUCTION GROUP, INC., IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE MILLION, TWO HUNDRED SIXTY-
6 EIGHT THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED EIGHTY-SIX AND 30/100
7 DOLLARS ($1,268,586.30), FOR PHASE 2 OF THE MAIN STREET
8 WATER QUALITY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM; AND FOR OTHER
9 PURPOSES

11 WHEREAS, The City was awarded an Environmental Protection Agency Grant from the Arkansas
12 Natural Resource Commission to continue construction of rain gardens, porous pavers, bioswales and
13 other low-impact development water management features in the 600 and 700 blocks of Main Street,and;
14 WHEREAS,Redstone Construction Group, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
15 specifications. for the Water Quality Demonstration and Improvement Program for Main Street Little
16 Rock,Phase II,Project No. 16-1-C9996103-20,Bid No. 17010.
17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Redstone
20 Construction Group, Inc., to provide construction services for Water Quality Demonstration and
21 Improvement Program for Main Street Phase II (block 600 & 700), in an amount not to exceed One
22 Million, Two Hundred Sixty-Eight Thousand, Five Hundred Eighty-Six and 30/100 Dollars
23 ($1,268,586.30), which is the negotiated base bid amount of One Million, Fifty-Seven Thousand, One
24 Hundred Fifty-Five and 25/100 Dollars($1,057,155.25), plus 20%contingencies.,
25 Section 2. Funding for this project is from an Environmental Protection Agency-Arkansas Natural
26 Resource Conservation Grant Low Impact Development (LID) Grant for Five Hundred Thirty-Six
27 Thousand,Five Hundred Dollars($536,500.00)and the Turnback Funds.
28 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
29 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
30 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
31 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
32 resolution.

1 Section 4. Repealer.All laws, ordinances,resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
2 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
