HomeMy WebLinkAbout11964I RESOLUTION NO. 11,964 2 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO 3 ENTER INTO ONE CONTRACT WITH ONE 4 ORGANIZATION TO PROVIDE A CITYWIDE PROGRAM 5 TARGETING HISPANIC YOUTH FOR THE LITTLE ROCK 6 COMMUNITY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing prevention, intervention, and youth development programs and services to enhance public safety and community- building, and WHEREAS, the City advertised a formal Bid No. 05 -5217 to solicit proposals for a citywide program targeting Hispanic youth, and WHEREAS, the City provides targeted services for the Little Rock community with a specified number of providers based upon youth population, and WHEREAS, a review committee met and reviewed the proposals submitted, determined the lowest responsible and responsive bidder(s), and recommends contract awards for targeted programs in the Little Rock community, and was further endorsed by the Commission on Children, Youth and Families. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: [PAG11 OF 21 Resolution Contract with one program to provide a citywide program targeting Hispanic youth I Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into contracts with four 2 recommended one organization for a citywide program targeting Hispanic youth in the 3 total amount of $49,330.00 with: 4 1. Promiseland Ministries Incorporated ($49,330.00) 5 Section 2. Funds for these programs are from FUTURE - Little Rock tax 6 revenue specified for prevention, intervention, and treatment programs, account 7 number 105 - 035 -T218. 8 Section 3. The term of the contract shall be for one year beginning April 2005. 9 Section 4. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or 10 adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not 11 affect the remaining portions of this resolution, which shall remain in full force and 12 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not 13 originally a part of this resolution. 14 Section 5. Repealer.
