2 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
3 ENTER INTO FOUR CONTRACTS WITH FOUR
4 ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE CITYWIDE
5 ENHANCEMENT PROGRAMS FOR THE LITTLE ROCK
6 COMMUNITY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing prevention,
intervention, and youth development programs and services to enhance public safety
and community- building, and
WHEREAS, the City advertised a formal Bid No. 05 -5216 to solicit proposals for
citywide enhancement programs for Little Rock adolescents, and
WHEREAS, the City provides enhancement services for the Little Rock
community with a specified number of providers based upon youth population, and
WHEREAS, a review committee met and reviewed the proposals submitted,
determined the lowest responsible and responsive bidder(s), and recommends contract
awards for citywide enhancement programs in the Little Rock community, and was
further endorsed by the Commission on Children, Youth and Families.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:

1 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into contracts with four
2 recommended organizations for citywide enhancement programs in the total amount of
3 $96,162.00 with:

Funds for these programs are from FUTURE - Little Rock tax
for prevention, intervention, and treatment programs, account

11 Section 3. The term of the contract shall be for one year beginning in April 2005.
12 Section 4. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or
13 adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not
14 affect the remaining portions of this resolution, which shall remain in full force and
15 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not
16 originally a part of this resolution.
17 Section 5. Repealer. All resolutions, and parts thereof, which are in conflict with
18 any provision of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
