3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD
4 A CONTRACT TO MANHATTAN ROAD & BRIDGE COMPANY, IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE MILLION, THREE HUNDRED
6 TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND, ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY AND 40/100
7 DOLLARS ($1,325,180.40), FOR A PEDESTRIAN BIKE PATH BRIDGE;
8 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, Bids were solicited for improvements on designated Arkansas River Trail Bike Path
11 Connector Phase 1 consisting of a pedestrian bridge over the Union Pacific Railroad at LaHarpe
12 Boulevard, Bid No. 17-009; and,
13 WHEREAS, Manhattan Road & Bridge Company, was the lowest responsive, responsible bid
14 meeting specifications.
15 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Manhattan Road &
18 Bridge Company for Bike Path Connector Phase 1, Bid No. 17-009, in an amount not to exceed One
19 Million, Three Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand, One Hundred Eighty and 40/100 Dollars
20 ($1,325,180.40), which is the base bid amount of One Million, One Hundred Four Thousand, Three
21 Hundred Seventeen Dollars($1,104,317.00), plus 20%contingencies.
22 Section 2. Funding for this project is from a special State allocation for the Arkansas River Trail &
23 Sales Tax Matching Funds.
24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
28 resolution.
29 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with
30 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
