3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE ENTRY INTO AN ANNUAL
4 PURCHASING ORDER WITH MID-SOUTH SALES, IN AN ANNUAL
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO MILLION DOLLARS ($2,000,000.00),
6 TO PROVIDE FUEL AND GASOLINE TO THE CITY; TO AUTHORIZE
7 AN OPTION TO THE CONTRACT IN ONE (1)-YEAR INCREMENTS UP
8 TO TWO (2) YEARS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, it is essential that the City obtain an annual purchase order for fuel and gasoline to use in
I 1 various City vehicles in order to obtain a stable price and better plan for expenses during the budget year;
12 and,
13 WHEREAS, pursuant to Bid No. 17131-C on March 22, 2014, the City requested competitive
14 responses,and received responses from five(5)different vendors; and,
15 WHEREAS, Mid-South Sales was determined to be the lowest responsible and responsive bidder;
16 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an annual purchasing order with Mid-South
19 Sales with an annual amount not to exceed Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000.00); further, to permit an
20 option for a one(1)-year renewal at this price, which can be exercised on two(2)occasions.
21 Section 2. Funds for this annual purchasing order are found in Account No. 603110-60401,the Fleet
22 Fuel,Oil and Lubricants Account.
23 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
24 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this resolution, which shall remain in full force and
26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
27 resolution.
28 Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances and resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent
29 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
