3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH LITTLE ROCK EQUIPMENT SALES, IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED EIGHTY-SIX THOUSAND, NINE
6 HUNDRED DOLLARS ($86,900.00), TO PURCHASE OF A TRACTOR
7 WITH SIDE AND REAR FLAIL MOWERS FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS
8 DEPARTMENT, UTILIZING THE HOUSTON-GALVESTON AREA
9 COUNCIL CONTRACT (HGACC); AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS,a City Tractor is aged and requires expensive maintenance cost; however, a new Tractor
12 with Side and Rear Flail Mowers can be purchased without competitive bids through the Houston-
13 Galveston Area Council Contract;
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Little Rock Equipment Sales,
17 in an amount not to exceed Eighty-Six Thousand,Nine Hundred Dollars($86,900.00), for the purchase of
18 a Tractor with Side and Rear Flail Mowers.
19 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are available in Public Works Operations Account No. S40B61 1-
20 205409.
21 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
22 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
23 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this resolution, which shall remain in full force and
24 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
25 resolution.
26 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances and resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent
27 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
