3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH TYMCO, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
5 FIVE HUNDRED TWELVE THOUSAND, FIFTY DOLLARS ($512,050.00),
6 FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO STREET SWEEPERS FOR THE PUBLIC
7 WORKS DEPARTMENT, UTILIZING THE HOUSTON-GALVESTON
8 AREA COUNCIL CONTRACT(HGACC); AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, the current City Street Sweeper is aged and, as a result, requires expensive maintenance
11 cost and it is possible to purchase two (2) new Street Sweepers through the Houston-Galveston Area
12 Council Contract which precludes the need for formal competitive bids;
13 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
14 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
15 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Tymco, in an amount not to
16 exceed Five Hundred Twelve Thousand, Fifty Dollars ($512,050.00), for the purchase of two (2) Street
17 Sweepers.
18 Section 2. One (1) Street Sweeper will be purchased from the 2015 5/8-Cent Sales Tax Account No.
19 108609-S60A435, and the other from the Public Works Operations Account No. 205409-S40B61 1.
20 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
21 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
22 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this resolution, which shall remain in full force and
23 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
24 resolution.
25 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances and resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent
26 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
