3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH SILSBEE FORD, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
5 EXCEED SIXTY-SIX THOUSAND, NINE HUNDRED SEVENTY-EIGHT
6 DOLLARS ($66,978.00), TO PURCHASE TWO (2) FORD TRANSIT VANS
7 FOR THE FLEET SERVICES DEPARTMENT, UTILIZING THE
8 HOUSTON-GALVESTON AREA COUNCIL CONTRACT (HGACC); AND
9 FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, a City Transit Van is aged and requires expensive maintenance cost; however, two (2)
12 new Transit Vans can be purchased without competitive bids through the Houston-Galveston Area Council
13 Contract;
' 14 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Silsbee Ford, in an amount not
17 to exceed Sixty-Six Thousand, Nine Hundred Seventy-Eight Dollars ($66,978.00), for the purchase of a
18 two(2) Ford Transit Vans.
19 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are available in the 2017 5/8-Cent Sales Tax Account, No.
20 S60A744-108609.
21 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
22 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
23 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this resolution, which shall remain in full force and
24 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
25 resolution.
26 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances and resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
27 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
