Home My WebLink About14552 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,552 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO SET MAY 16, 2017, AS THE DATE FOR A PUBLIC 4 HEARING ON A PETITION TO ABANDON A TWENTY(20)-FOOT WIDE 5 ACCESS AND UTILITY EASEMENT LOCATED IN THE SOUTHERN 6 PORTION OF LOT 204, SANDPIPER ADDITION, IN THE CITY OF 7 LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS (G-24-051); AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 8 9 WHEREAS,Lot 204,Sandpiper Addition is an undeveloped,R-2, Single-Family District,zoned lot,and 10 there is a twenty(20)-foot wide access and utility easement that bisects the southern portion of the lot, and 11 WHEREAS,that access easement intersects a twenty-five(25)-foot wide peninsula of Arkansas Highway 12 and Transportation Department(AHTD)property that bisects the eastern portion of the lot. The easement and 13 the AHTD property greatly affect the buildability of the lot, and 14 WHEREAS,the owner of the vacant lot is negotiating with AHTD to acquire the portion of the AHTD 15 property that bisects Lot 204, and 16 WHEREAS,the owner of the vacant lot is also requesting the abandonment of the twenty(20)-foot wide 17 access and utility easement, and 18 WHEREAS,statements of approval of the abandonment request have been submitted by the public utility 19 companies,AHTD and Little Rock Public Works. 20 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF 21 LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 22 Section 1. On May 16,2017,at 6:00 PM, in the Board Room of City Hall at 500 West Markham Street, 23 Little Rock, Arkansas, a public hearing shall be held to consider a request by the owner of the vacant, R-2 24 zoned lot located at 2301 Peachtree Drive(Lot 204, Sandpiper Addition)to abandon a twenty(20)-foot wide 25 access and utility easement and located in the southern portion of the lot. 26 Section 2.
