HomeMy WebLinkAbout119591 2 RESOLUTION NO. 11,959 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH PERFORMANCE FOOD GROUP FOR 5 THE PROVISION OF FOOD AND FOOD - RELATED ITEMS FOR THE 6 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK SUMMER PLAYGROUND PROGRAM; AND 7 FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 WHEREAS, on February 1, 2005, an Invitation to Bid was advertised for the 10 provision of food and food - related items for the City of Little Rock's Summer 11 Playground Program, and Bid #C05001 was opened February 28, 2005, and 12 WHEREAS, of the three companies submitting bids, Performance Food Group 13 submitted the lowest responsible and responsive bid in the amount of Fifty Thousand, 14 Forty and no /100 Dollars ($50,040.00). 15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 16 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 17 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter 18 into a contract with Performance Food Group for the provision of food and food - related 19 items for the City of Little Rock Summer Playground Program in the amount of Fifty 20 Thousand, Forty and no /100 Dollars ($50,040.00) 21 Section 2. Funds for this contract are available from the United States 22 Department of Agriculture Special Nutrition Grant Program. 23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, 24 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or 25 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining 26 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so [PAGE 1 OF 21 Resolution Contract for Food for Summer Playground Program 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution. Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
