3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH BILL'S FENCE COMPANY, INC., IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWENTY-SIX THOUSAND,SIX HUNDRED
6 FIFTY-THREE DOLLARS ($26,653.00), AND ARMOR FENCE OF
7 ARKANSAS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FORTY-ONE
8 THOUSAND, TWO HUNDRED FIFTY-ONE DOLLARS ($41,251.00), TO
9 DEMOLISH AND INSTALL SEVERAL NECESSARY FENCES AT THE
10 LITTLE ROCK ZOO; AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS, it has been determined that several fences at the Little Rock Zoo need to be constructed
13 to replace existing chain link fences,to upgrade wooden fences,and to add additional fences; and,
14 WHEREAS,pursuant to Bid No. 16182,it was determined that Bill's Fence Company,Inc.,and Armor
15 Fence of Arkansas, submitted the lowest responsible and responsive bids;
16 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into agreements with the following companies for
19 the following amounts to repair, demolish, and install various fences at the Little Rock Zoo:
20 (a) Bill's Fence Company, Inc. $26,653.00
21 (b) Armor Fence of Arkansas 41,251.00
22 Section 2. Nothing in this Resolution prohibits the City Manager from being able to approve and fund
23 appropriate change orders as set forth in State Law; however, in any situation not to exceed 20% of the
24 combined amount of these fence agreements.
25 Section 3. Funding for this project is available in the Zoo Capital Fund Account No. 326659-
26 TS65A79.
27 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
28 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
31 resolution.
32 Section 5. Repealer. All resolutions, bylaws, and other matters inconsistent with this resolution are
33 hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
