Home My WebLink About14531 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,531 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD 4 A CONSTRUCTION OBSERVATION CONTRACT TO MCCLELLAND 5 CONSULTING ENGINEERS, INC., IN AN ANOUNT NOT TO EXCEED 6 ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($100,000.00), FOR THE 2017 7 STREET RESURFACING PROGRAM; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 8 9 WHEREAS, Street resurfacing improvements are needed within the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, 10 to maintain existing asphalt streets, and citizens of the City of Little Rock approved a sales tax issue 11 which provided funding for street resurfacing improvements; and 12 WHEREAS, McClelland Consulting Engineers, Inc., was selected through a Statement of 13 Qualifications Process, Bid No. 17106, to provide Construction Observation Services for the 2017 Street 14 Resurfacing Program 15 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 17 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with McClelland 18 Consulting Engineers,Inc., for Construction Observation Services of 2017 Street Resurfacing Program, in 19 an amount not to exceed One Hundred Thousand Dollars($100,000.00). 20 Section 2. Funding for the project is available from the 2013 Limited Tax General Obligation Capital 21 Improvement Bonds. 22 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 23 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 24 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 25 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 26 resolution. 27 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent 28 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency. 29 ADOPTED: April 4,2017 30 .'
