3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD A
4 CONTRACT TO CONTRACTOR'S SPECIALTY SERVICE COMPANY, IN
5 AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED EIGHTY-ONE
6 THOUSAND, SEVENTY-TWO DOLLARS ($281,072.00), FOR PAVEMENT
7 MARKINGS WITHIN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND
8 FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, improvements to pavement markings on city streets are needed within the City of Little
11 Rock,Arkansas, and
12 AND, Contractor's Specialty Service Company submitted the low bid (Bid No. 17003) meeting
13 specifications.
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Contractor's
17 Specialty Service Company in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Eighty-One Thousand, Seventy-
18 Two Dollars ($281,072.00), which is Two Hundred Fifty-Five Thousand, Five Hundred Twenty Dollars
19 ($255,520.00)plus 10% contingency.
20 Section 2. Funding for this project is available in the Public Works 2017 Annual Operating Budget.
21 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
22 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
23 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
24 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
25 resolution.
26 Section 4. Repealer.All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with
27 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
