Home My WebLink About14529 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,529 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD 4 A CONTRACT TO JCI CONSTRUCTION, INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT 5 TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED TWENTY-ONE THOUSAND, SEVEN 6 HUNDRED DOLLARS ($221,700.00), FOR SIDEWALK CONSTRUCTION 7 WITHIN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER 8 PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, Sidewalk improvements are needed within the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, to 11 maintain existing sidewalks, and 12 WHEREAS, citizens of the City of Little Rock approved a sales tax which provided funding for 13 these sidewalk improvements, 14 AND,JCI Construction,Inc., submitted the lowest bid(Bid No. 17002)meeting specifications for the 15 2017 Sidewalk Replacement Program. 16 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 18 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with JCI Construction, 19 Inc. in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Twenty-One Thousand, Seven Hundred Dollars, 20 ($221,700.00), which is One Hundred Eighty-Four Thousand, Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars 21 ($184,750.00)plus 20% contingency. 22 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the 2012 3/8-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and 23 Compensating Use Tax Funds 24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 28 resolution. 29 Section 4. Repealer.
