3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A
4 CONTRACT INCREASE FOR TOWNSHIP BUILDERS, INC., IN THE
5 AMOUNT OF THREE HUNDRED NINETY THOUSAND DOLLARS
6 ($390,000.00), FOR THE WRIGHT AVENUE BRIDGE REPAIR
7 IMPROVEMENTS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

9 WHEREAS, The City of Little Rock Board of Directors authorized a contract with Township
10 Builders, Inc., by Resolution No. 14,316 (April 5, 2016) for Wright Avenue Bridge Repairs, Project No.
11 B-01B,Bid No. 16006; and,
12 WHEREAS, It is desirable to increase the authorized contract amount Burkhalter Technologies Inc.
13 to provide for additional structural and bridge deck improvements to the bridge.
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a change order with Township
17 Builders, Inc., for the Wright Avenue Bridge Repairs in an amount not to exceed Three Hundred Ninety
18 Thousand Dollars ($390,000.00), making a new authorized contract amount of One Million, One Seven
19 Hundred Seventy-One Thousand,Three Hundred Sixty-Six and 80/100 Dollars($1,771,366.80).
20 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the 2013 Capital Improvements Bonds for Streets and
21 Drainage and the 2012 3/8-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating Use Tax Funds as
22 authorized by Resolution No. 13,699 and amended by Resolution No. 14,269.
23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
24 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
27 resolution.
28 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
29 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
