3 A RESOLUTION TO REAPPOINT DICKSON FLAKE TO A POSITION
4 ON THE CENTRAL ARKANSAS TECHNOLOGY PARK AUTHORITY
5 DB/A/ THE LITTLE ROCK TECHNOLOGY PARK AUTHORITY; AND
6 FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, after compliance with all statutory obligations the Little Rock Board of Directors
9 approved the creation of the Central Arkansas Technology Park Authority in Little Rock,Ark., Ordinance
10 No. 20,925 (September 21, 2010), and this entity does business as the Little Rock Technology Park
11 Authority("the Authority"); and,
12 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Board of Directors appointed Dickson Flake to a full five (5)-year term
13 on the Authority Board of Directors in Little Rock,Ark.,Resolution No. 13,370(September 27,2011);and,
14 WHEREAS,State Law permits a member of the Authority Board of Directors to serve for a maximum
15 of ten(10)years as set forth in Ark. Code Ann. § 14-144-203 (c)(5)(West Supp.2016); and,
16 WHEREAS, Dickson Flake is a citizen and qualifier elector of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and
17 is,therefore,qualified to serve as a municipal appointee to the Authority Board of Directors; and,
18 WHEREAS, it was formally determined at the December 6, 2016, meeting of the Little Rock Board
19 of Directors that Mr. Flake's appointment to a full-term had been made and was effective from September
20 28,2011);
21 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
22 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
23 Section 1. Dickson Flake is appointed for a five (5)-year term on the Authority Board of Directors
24 effective September 28, 2011, and may continue to serve as long as his appointment does not exceed ten
25 (10)years of service which would be until September 27,2021.
26 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
30 resolution.
31 Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
32 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
