3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A GRANT FROM THE PULASKI
4 AREA GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM (PAGIS) FOR STORM
5 WATER MAP DATA DEVELOPMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

7 WHEREAS,the City of Little Rock is a member of the Pulaski Area Geographic Information System
8 (PAGIS) along with the City of North Little Rock, Pulaski County, Central Arkansas Water, Little Rock
9 Wastewater Utility, North Little Rock Wastewater Utility, the City of Jacksonville, and the City of
10 Sherwood; and
11 WHEREAS,PAGIS has initiated development of a standardized GIS data model for storm water,and
12 has offered to member agencies matching grants to improve and expand existing storm water maps and data
13 for use in supporting State and Federal Regulations, engineering planning, flood control, water quality
14 monitoring and infrastructure asset management; and
15 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1: That the City Manager is authorized to execute all appropriate grant agreements and
18 contracts necessary to expedite a project to improve and expand existing storm water maps and data within
19 the City of Little Rock.
20 Section 2. Funding for the project is from a grant from the PAGIS organization and Street Fund
21 Special Project matching funds. The estimated total cost of the map improvement project is Two Hundred
22 Thirty Thousand Dollars($230,000.00) including contingencies,of which the estimated PAGIS share will
23 be One Hundred Eighty Five Thousand Dollars($185,000.00)and the estimated City share will be Forty-
24 Five Thousand Dollars($45,000.00).
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
29 resolution.
30 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with
31 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
32 Section 5. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
