3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO AN ANNUAL PURCHASING ORDER WITH MHC KENWORTH
5 FOR HEAVY-DUTY TRUCK BRAKE PARTS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
6 EXCEED EIGHTY THOUSAND DOLLARS($80,000.00); TO AUTHORIZE
7 A ONE (1)-YEAR RENEWAL FOR UP TO TWO (2) YEARS OF THIS
8 AGREEMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, it is necessary for the Fleet Services Department to have ready access to Heavy-Duty
11 Truck Parts each year,and after a competitive bid process it was determined that MHC Kenworth provided
12 the lowest responsive and responsible bid to provide these parts; and,
13 WHEREAS, if it is in the best interests of the City to do so this Annual Purchasing Order can be
14 extended for a one (1)-year period for two (2) additional times, or for the calendar years 2017, 2018 and
15 2019;
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an Annual Purchasing Order with MHC
19 Kenworth in an amount not to exceed Eighty Thousand Dollars ($80,000.00) for the purchase of Heavy-
20 Duty Truck Brake Parts.
21 Section 2. Funds for this APO are available in Account No. 600013-60310.
22 Section 3. Section 6. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
23 phrase,or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional,such declaration
24 or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
25 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
26 resolution.
27 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with
28 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
